History

After 227k miles and sitting for years, Cale got it running by pouring gas down the carb, recharging the battery, replacing the fuel pump and filter. After towing it back to my shop, we fixed the brakes, rebuilt the carb, and replaced the plugs.

After passing emissions, the old 305 lasted for a few thousand miles and made a road trip to Panama City and back with no problems. Later that fall the engine blew a head gasket and had to many miles on it to repair. We installed a factory 350 motor from GM, a 700R4, and a B&M shifter that fit the console.

In 2004, the car no longer had to pass emissions, so we installed an Edelbrock intake, 4 barrel carb, Headman Elite Headers and a Flow Master American Thunder exhaust. More>>
